Keeping Tabs On My Tabs...Again

Tabs include a ton of fanfic, the Loewe puzzle bag, Bella Hadid crying, the Communist Party of China, and a Google search for "Can sociopaths love?"

A sampling of my 433 tabs.

So, here’s the good news: I have probably only hit my phone browser’s 500 tab limit twice since I last posted about my tab hoarding. The bad news is that 90 percent of what I search for online could be described as mind-numbing garbage.

I’d say about 20 percent of the tabs contained fanfic. Another 20 percent were dedicated to shopping. Let’s give 10 percent to news articles and another 10 to GoFundMe campaigns. The rest, a good 45 percent: Stupid shit. I hesitate to say slop because it’s not that intolerable. But a lot of these tabs admittedly make me feel like a bit of an idiot.

For example: "Myrtle Broadway meme” (I showed that to someone who is way less online and they didn’t get it); “Is sheepshead bay white?” (no shit); “Lobar pneumonia” (no idea what inspired that); “How many calories in a Taco Bell crunchy taco?” (170); “Can I drink six hours after taking 0.5mg of Klonopin?” (according to random people on Quora, it should be okay).

But I’m human, and humans are curious creatures who sometimes Google things like “are Guyanese people Latino?” I’m normal. I’m so so normal. Look at how normal I am.

  • I enjoyed Anora, but a Twitter mutual of mine, Marla Cruz, wrote an incredible critique.

  • Why the fuck was I looking up the Chanel store in Toronto?

  • Blackiana Grande

  • Love this glitch showing a Google search for Wellbutrin but a bus schedule showing up.

  • Mitch Kramer

  • It’s been months, and I still haven’t gotten around to making an appointment with my old MSK therapist. Embarrassing.
